Theme of the day: “Mathematics for a Better World”

         On 15-03-2021 International Mathematics Day celebrated by inviting Dr. C. Krishna, Principal, P.R. Government College (A), Kakinada as a Chief Guest. The Lecturer In-Charge Dr. Sk. Sajana presided over this function and she remembered the history of the Pi-Day and tells objectives of conducting this programme. The chief guest explained the students about the importance of Mathematics and motivated all the students. The Lecturer In-Charge of department of statistics Sri. K. Ashok described about the consequence of Pi. All the faculty members in both the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Statistics are involved in this function. Total 30 students are participated in this function.

         In this connection the Department of Mathematics conducted the Online Talent Test Competition to I year students within the college on History of Pi-Day and General Aptitude. A total of 155 students participated in this competition.

         The principal Dr. C. Krishna appriciated the Department of Mathematics for arranging this programme and students for utlizing this opportunity successfully.
