Guest lecture on the eve of "ENGINEERS DAY"

The Department of Physics and Electronics has conducted a Guest Lecture on the eve of Engineers day on 15th September 2021.  The faculty in charge of Physics and electronics Dr K Jyoti has convened this program. Our college principal Dr.C. Krishna has presided over the function. The chief guest and speaker of this program Sri V V V Satyanarayana garu, is working as Deputy General Manager, BSNL, Hyderabad.

Sri L M S Ganesh, Lecturer in Physics has invited all the guests to this program. In her conveners' address, Dr K.Jyothi said that Engineers day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Greatest Engineer of all times Sir Mokshagundam Visveswaraya. This year the engineers day is celebrated under the theme of “Engineering for a Healthy Planet- Celebrating the UNESCO engineering report”. She added that He was awarded the highest civilian honour of India “ Bharat Ratna” in the year 1965 for his Outstanding contributions in Engineering.

President of the function, Principal Dr C.Krishna, in his presidential address praised the contributions of Sir Mokshagundam Visveswaraya in the field of Engineering & Technology. He reiterated the fact that Sir Visveswaraya was many times intelligent than British Engineers in those days. He feels very much happy to celebrate and commemorate the Birth anniversary of such a Great Engineer in the Department of Physics. He congratulated all the faculty of the Physics department, Students and especially the Chief guest Sri V V V Satyanarayana Garu for accepting our invitation.

Chief Guest Sri V V V Satyanarayana said in his speech that selecting the topic of Telecommunication on Engineers day was very much justified. He has presented his lecture “ Telecom Set up in India”. In which he covers the different areas like an overview of Telecom network, Telecom growth in India, Types of Telecom networks and a typical telephone exchange. He touched almost a complete area of telecommunication. He rendered his topic in a very effective way. During the Interactive session, some of our students posed few questions and get clarified by the resource person.

After that, Sri Tejeswar Rao, Lecturer in Physics has proposed a Vote of thanks to everyone who participated in this program. With the Vote of thanks, the program was concluded.
