The Department of History has conducted activity on the occasion of Alluri Sitaarama Raju's 123rd birth anniversary on 4th July 2020.

On that day, we conducted virtual meeting through Google meet at 10:30 am. Our Prinicpal Dr. C. Krishna organized the function. He garlanded the photo of Alluri Sitarama Raju and delivered a valuable speech. In his speech, he explains Alluri Sitarama Raju life history and his struggles for tribes. Also, he advices the students to visit the tomb of Alluri Sitarama Raju located at Krishnadevipeta in Visakhapatnam district.

Dr. K. Somasekhar, Lecturer In Charge of History, Department of History (Dr. V. S. Krishna Govt. Degree and PG College Visakhapatnam) as the chief guest of the occasion. He explained the various conditions during the British period. He compared the contemporary time with the period of Alluri Sitarama Raju. He also said that movements are essential for getting rights on those days.

Dr. V. Narasimhaswamy, Lecturer In Charge of the department of History, K. Malleswaramma, Lecturer of History, and Dr. T.K.V.Srinivasa Rao, the Vice Principal of our college are participated.

Nearly 40 students and some staff members are also joined in the occasion.
