International Women's Day celebrations - March 8th 2018

International Women's Day celebrations were held in PR Govt. College  under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. C. Krishna Garu.

 Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. C. Krishna, said that the number of girl students in the college is far more than boys and expressed his happiness that many departments are headed by Women Faculty. He said that when it comes to sincerity and commitment towards work, women are the best.

Smt. M. Suvarna Sobha Rani, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, East Godavari Dist. Kakinada graced the occasion as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, she narrated her personal experiences and hurdles she overcame to reach the present position. Self confidence coupled with determination to achieve the goal were the key factors she underlined. Becoming a part of the government is the true path to serve the downtrodden, needy and underprivileged said she and urged the girls not to get married until they settle in a good job.

Later NAAC and IQAC Coordinator, Dr. V. Anantha lakshmi, HOD Department of Mathematics was felicitated for leading the college in securing A grade by NAAC and forstering towards excellence.

Smt. M. Suvarna Sobha Rani, congratulated the winners of various competitions like Mehendi Designing, Chef, Singing, Rangoli, and Traditional dress which were held over the past one week and gave away the prizes.

The programme was attended by all the women faculty and girl students of the college.
