Biotechnology

HISTORY:

P.R.Govt, Degree College, (Autonomous) was established in 1884 by Pithapuram Maharaja, Sri. R.V.KM.SURYARAO BAHADUR MAHARAJ.

After the college opted for Autonomous system in 2001, the department has started the restructured course in Biotechnology with Zoology combination from 2002 - 2003.

Till 2019 department of Biotechnology is under the Headship of Zoology and then the Department of Biotechnology was established as a separate department from 2019.

VISION:

Our vision is to impart knowlwdge in the field of Biotechnology and equip students with practical skills relevant to the industry needs.

MISSION:

To provide quality laboratory facilities which are on par with the industry standards.

To encourage all the students who enrole the course to take up Biotechnology as their future carrier option .

To attain 100% success rate in the examinations.
