Equal Opportunity Centre

The main motto of Equal Opportunity Centre is to create opportunities for the disadvantaged sections by conducting a short term course in positive discrimination, which includes personality development, positive thinking and confidence building measures to bring about leadership qualities among the identified groups.

Activity for 2010-11.

About 50 students were identified and trained in communicative English and soft skills including the use of ICT. The course material and text books were supplied to each of the students. On positive discrimination lecture was organized by utilizing the services of Sri K.Abraham, DIG stamps & Registration. At the end of this programme a test was conducted in the pass outs were given certificates.

Activity for 2012-13.

Equal opportunity Centre demonstrated a success story by giving coaching to 321 students this year ( 2012-13 ) and supplied Books for Bank exams worth Rs.90000 free of cost. It is a third successful year. Perhaps it is the only college at UG level providing capacity building through Equal Opportunity centre (UGC).Thanks to Principal for kind heart and relentless effort in providing students need based services.The pass outs are now reverberating with new  hope of getting equipped with required skills to grab the opportunity in the Job market.

Activity for 2013-14.

This year as many as 284 students of second and final year students of our college were taken coaching for different competitive examinations. Course material was supplied to the students. Mock test were also conducted for the benefit of students

Activity for 2014-15.

In this academic year, a record number of 320 students were admitted into Equal Opportunity Centre after a screening test was conducted. Lectures on positive discrimination were organized by utilizing the services of different faculty from reputed organizations. Noted philanthropist and lawyer Sri Madireddy Subbarao Garu donated an amount of Rs. 10,000 to distribute the books among the meritorious girl students of Final year degree. Fifty-one beneficiaries were selected after a screening test was conducted. Study materials and the mock examination papers are given to the students.
